The standard UAE market carries UK sizes: single (90×190), double (135×190), king (150×200), super-king (180×200). These don't match European or American standards, which causes constant problems for expat residents. We build in any dimension you need  a 160×200 European double, a 200×200 square king, an extended 90×210 single for a tall teenager.

Before selecting a size, measure your room with the bed in position, not just the wall it sits against. Allow a minimum 70cm clearance on the walk-around sides, and 90cm at the foot if you have a TV unit or wardrobe opposite. Fabric and Material Selection for UAE's Climate

This matters more than most customers initially realise. Dubai's interior climate is heavily air-conditioned  rooms can drop to 18–20°C  which means fabrics don't face outdoor heat, but they do face constant dust and the dry-then-humid AC cycle that affects fibre integrity over time.

Velvet: Looks exceptional. Attracts dust and pet hair. Requires regular lint rolling and an annual professional clean. In a master bedroom without pets and children, it's an excellent choice.

Boucle: The current UAE design favourite. Textured, durable, forgiving of everyday wear. Slightly less easy to clean than velvet but significantly more forgiving of the kids-and-life factor.

Performance Linen: Our most practical recommendation for families. Breathable, washable, lint-resistant, and it doesn't photograph every wrinkle in direct light. Available in 40+ colours.

Faux Leather / PVC: Easy wipe-clean, excellent for children's rooms and anyone who runs warm. Less breathable than fabric, but modern PVC has improved dramatically our current range doesn't peel or crack under UAE AC conditions.

Solid Wood: Zero maintenance beyond dusting. No fabric concerns. Will expand and contract slightly with seasonal humidity variation  we account for this in construction.

The three biggest cost variables are fabric grade, size, and storage configuration. A larger bed in a mid-grade fabric may cost less than a standard king in premium velvet. Step 5: Delivery and Setup

What warranty covers my custom bed?

All Kustom Deco beds carry a 2-year structural warranty covering the frame, joinery, and storage mechanisms. Fabric is covered for 1 year against manufacturing defects (not general wear). To make a warranty claim, contact us via WhatsApp with photos  we assess and respond within 48 hours. Most issues are resolved with a site visit.

Can I see and feel the fabric before ordering?

Yes  this is one of the most important steps and we actively encourage it. Our Arjan showroom carries the full fabric range at scale, so you can see how it looks under different lighting conditions, not just in a small swatch. If you can't visit, we send physical samples by courier to any UAE address. Request via WhatsApp.

What if I need a non-standard size?

This is exactly what Kustom Deco exists for. We build beds in any dimension  European 200×200, extended singles for tall adults (up to 220cm length), custom widths for alcove niches, reduced depths for rooms with awkward proportions. There is no non-standard surcharge for size variations within reason; unusual dimension requests are quoted individually.

How does your pricing compare to regular Dubai furniture stores?

Is assembly included in the delivery?

Yes, always. Our delivery team assembles the entire frame in your bedroom, positions it as you direct, and removes all packaging materials. There is no flat-pack component to a Kustom Deco bed  is built furniture, not a build-it-yourself kit.

What payment options are available?

We accept bank transfer, credit card (Visa and Mastercard), and cash at the showroom. A 50% deposit is required to confirm the order. The balance is settled upon delivery. Can I request changes after I've placed my order?

Minor changes  colour swap, leg finish change  are possible within the first 48 hours of production, provided cutting has not started. Structural changes (size, headboard shape) after production begins may incur additional cost and timeline extension. This is why we invest time in spec confirmation upfront  to avoid any changes after the build starts.

How do I care for an upholstered bed in Dubai?

Weekly: vacuum the headboard and base panel with a soft brush attachment  this handles ambient Dubai dust before it embeds in fibres. Monthly: spot clean any marks immediately with a damp cloth and mild soap; don't let stains set. Annually: professional upholstery cleaning keeps the fabric looking new. Are your beds safe for children?

Yes. Children's beds and bunk beds are built to EN747 safety standards, with rounded corners, non-toxic finishes, and guardrails on all bunk configurations. Can I return or exchange a custom bed?

Do you offer a showroom-only purchase or must I order online?

Both options are equally available. Many customers prefer to walk through the full selection in-store, choose fabrics in person, and place their order with one of our in-store consultants. Others complete everything digitally. The product, price, and quality are identical through both channels.
