The centrepiece of any bedroom. Our upholstered beds are built on solid engineered wood frames with high-density foam headboards, wrapped in your choice of fabric  boucle, velvet, linen blend, performance fabric, or faux leather. Headboard height, shape (arched, panelled, straight, tufted), leg style, and bed dimensions are all chosen by you. We build standard UAE sizes (90×190, 120×200, 150×200, 180×200, 200×200) and custom dimensions when your room calls for them.

Storage Beds & Divan Bases

Storage underneath the bed is not a luxury in a Dubai apartment  it's a necessity. Our storage beds come in hydraulic lift or drawer configurations. The hydraulic ottoman base lifts the entire mattress platform smoothly to reveal generous under-bed storage; drawer bases offer two or four pull-out drawers on the sides. Both are built to the same structural standard as our standard beds  no compromise on the frame to accommodate the mechanism.

Not every bedroom calls for an upholstered headboard. Our platform beds use solid wood or engineered wood frames in matte, lacquered, or natural wood finishes  teak, walnut-effect, white oak, matte black. How to Choose Bedroom Furniture for Your Dubai Home

Size and Space Planning

Measure twice, order once  and then call us, because we've seen every UAE floor plan and we know the quirks. Standard Dubai apartment bedrooms run 3m×4m to 4m×5m. Villa master suites can be considerably larger. The challenges: structural pillars mid-wall, unusual alcoves, AC unit placement that limits headboard height, sliding doors that need clearance.

Our standard rule: your bed should leave 60–80cm clearance on both sides (or at least one side if the room is narrow), and your wardrobe doors need full swing or slide clearance accounted for before purchase. We help you plan this before production starts  not after delivery.

Custom sizing means if your room is 358cm wide and standard wardrobes are 300cm or 400cm, we build you one at 358cm. This is the most common scenario in UAE apartments, and it's exactly what we're built to solve.

Fabric and Material Selection for UAE's Climate

Dubai's climate affects furniture in ways that matter. High humidity during summer months causes cheap engineered wood to swell and delaminate. Constant AC creates humidity cycling  wet outside, dry inside  that stresses joints and finishes. And the dust. The dust gets everywhere.

For upholstered beds and headboards:

• Boucle  currently the most popular in UAE homes. Textured, hides minor marks, breathes reasonably well. Not ideal if you have cats.
• Performance velvet  rich look, more durable than standard velvet. Wipes clean more easily. Good for families.
• Linen blend breathable and cool-feeling, suits minimalist aesthetics. Slightly harder to keep pristine.
• Faux leather / PU  easiest to wipe clean, holds up to humidity well, doesn't absorb odours. Cooler look, less warmth.

For wardrobes and bed frames: Moisture-resistant MDF with quality lacquer finish or veneer holds up well in UAE conditions. We don't use raw MDF without sealing  and we're happy to explain exactly what we use if you ask.

Fabric grade is the single biggest variable. A standard linen blend headboard costs less than a premium boucle or hand-tufted velvet. Size is the second  a 200×200 super king uses more material than a 160×200. Mechanism complexity (hydraulic storage, wardrobe lighting systems) adds to cost. We'll give you a clear quote before production starts, with no surprises.

What fabrics work best for bedroom furniture in Dubai?

For upholstered beds and headboards in Dubai homes, we recommend performance velvet or boucle for most families  both handle UAE humidity cycles well, look luxurious, and resist everyday wear better than standard velvet. Linen blend suits minimalist aesthetics and feels cool to the touch but shows marks more easily. Faux leather (PU) is the easiest to maintain and suits contemporary rooms, though it can feel warmer to the touch in summer if your AC isn't strong. For families with young children, our tech performance fabrics are stain-resistant and some covers are removable for washing.

We never recommend standard velvet for UAE bedrooms  it doesn't handle the humidity cycling and can mat and flatten more quickly than you'd expect. At the showroom, you can touch all fabric options before committing.

How long does a custom bedroom furniture order take?

Standard production and delivery is 15–25 working days from confirmed order and deposit payment. Simpler pieces (bedside tables, dressing tables) are often at the shorter end. Full wardrobe sets with site measurement visits, or complex headboard designs, run toward the longer end. If you have a move-in date or a specific deadline, tell us when you order  we'll be honest about whether we can meet it, and we can often prioritise accordingly.

We do not promise timelines we can't keep. If something affects your production schedule, we tell you immediately.

Do you deliver bedroom furniture across all UAE emirates?

Yes all seven emirates. Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, and Umm Al Quwain. Delivery is by our own team, not third-party couriers. Assembly and installation are included in the delivery, as is packaging removal. We'll confirm your delivery slot 24 hours before arrival.

What warranty comes with bedroom furniture?

We provide a 12-month structural warranty on all bedroom furniture against manufacturing defects. This covers frame integrity, hardware function (hinges, drawer runners, hydraulic mechanisms), and finish quality. Can I see fabric samples before ordering?

Yes, two ways. Visit our showroom in Arjan, Al Barsha South (open Saturday to Friday, 10am–8pm) where all current fabric options are displayed as physical samples. Or request a sample swatch by mail  message us on WhatsApp with your address and the fabrics you're considering, and we'll send swatches to you. Can you build non-standard sizes?

This is exactly what we're built for. Standard retail furniture comes in fixed sizes. We don't. If your room is 347cm wide, we build your wardrobe to 347cm. If your ceiling is 2.9m instead of the standard 2.4m, we build to 2.9m. If your mattress is an unusual imported size and you need a custom bed frame to fit it, we build to your mattress. Non-standard sizing does not carry a surcharge in most cases  it's part of our standard service.

How does Kustom Deco's pricing compare to retail furniture stores?

It compares well  often favourably. Because we manufacture directly and sell directly without retail overhead or import margins, our prices reflect actual material and production cost rather than a chain of markups. A comparable quality bed frame at a UAE retail furniture store will typically cost 20–40% more than the same piece built to your specification by us. Custom does not mean expensive when you buy from the manufacturer.

Is assembly included with delivery?

Yes, always. Our delivery team assembles and installs every piece  beds, wardrobes, dressing tables, all of it. You don't handle a single screw. They also remove all packaging materials. If a piece needs minor adjustment after installation, they handle it before leaving.

Can I order bedroom furniture for a commercial space?

Minor modifications  fabric colour changes, hardware finish changes  are possible within 48 hours of order confirmation at no extra cost. Once production has started, structural changes (size, configuration) may incur a partial charge depending on how far along the piece is. We'll always tell you honestly what's possible and what it costs before agreeing to any modification.

How should I care for my upholstered bedroom furniture?

For fabric headboards and bed frames: vacuum lightly with a soft brush attachment monthly to prevent dust settling into texture. For spot cleaning, use a barely damp cloth with mild soap  never soak fabric. Avoid direct sunlight on fabric pieces for extended periods; UV fading is real in UAE conditions. For wood and lacquer finishes: wipe with a slightly damp microfibre cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners. Both approaches work.

What payment options do you accept?

We accept bank transfer, credit card, and cash. For orders above AED 3,000, we typically work on a deposit structure  50% at order confirmation, 50% before delivery. For smaller orders, full payment at confirmation. Payment terms are confirmed in your order summary before production begins.

What happens if I'm not happy with the piece on delivery?

We want every delivery to be right. If a piece arrives with a manufacturing defect or doesn't match your confirmed specification, we collect it and rebuild or repair it at no cost. This hasn't happened often in 20 years of operation  but when it has, we've handled it properly. Bring any concerns to our team's attention on delivery day or via WhatsApp immediately after delivery.

Do you make bedroom furniture for maids' rooms or smaller secondary bedrooms?

Yes, and we're experienced with the specific space constraints. Maids' rooms in UAE apartments are often 2.5m×3m or smaller. We build single beds with maximum under-bed storage, compact wardrobes with full-height utilisation, and small bedside solutions designed for these proportions.
